Will I have access Outcome Reports?

Yes, we can provide aggregate data for most courses in the form of outcome reports based on a 30-day follow-up. These aggregate reports compare before and after drinking or drug usage patterns, attitudes, and behaviors. These reports are Tableau based reports.

Can these courses be used as a discussion tool in a classroom or advisory setting?

Our courses are normally offered as a self-reflective stand-alone program. These courses can also be incorporated into a more comprehensive prevention or intervention model. The student can complete the course or individual lesson modules and meet one on one with a counselor or with a discussion group. Contact our office to discuss how other 3rd Millennium clients are using these programs.

Are the courses aligned to state or national standards?

3rd Millennium Classrooms incorporates the strategies that the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) has identified as the most effective strategies for alcohol and drug educational programs. These Tier I strategies teach coping and problem solving techniques, clarify social norm behavior for a specific peer group, provide motivation to change, and challenge alcohol expectancies.

Is there a way to personalize the course for our school?

Yes. Among other customization options, we offer a Custom Resources Page displayed in the course. We design the custom page layout for you, and you can include links to community or school resources. You can also include specific information for your students, for example: a message from the Dean, campus social norms information, the counseling services that are available for students with problems or concerns, etc. You can also submit custom survey questions to be included in the course.

Do you have Social Norms information in your courses?

Yes. The eCHECKUP TO GO intervention is integrated in 3rd Millennium alcohol and marijuana education courses and includes Social Norms feedback.

Are the courses interactive?

Yes. The student completes the eCHECKUP TO GO intervention and personalized feedback from this intervention is integrated into "knowledge checks" and "personal response" interactions in the course. Also, the student must pass each lesson quiz to advance and must successfully complete a final exam to receive a certificate of completion.

Are there enrollment instructions for the student?

Yes. For referral courses, we provide your organization with student instruction handouts. The student goes to our website, follows instructions, pays, and enrolls in the designated 3rd Millennium course.

What’s needed to complete the course work?

Individuals need access to an internet connected device. Course work can be completed at home, at the public library, or on a school or friend's computer or device.

How do you ensure that a court referred offender is doing the course work?

Validation questions will pop up randomly as the student works through the course. If the student fails to answer properly, he is locked out of the course and is forced to call our office. We conduct a short telephone interview with the student. Typically, we find that the student incorrectly answered a validation question because of a minor spelling or other error. After verification, we can re-activate their course and login information. Incorrect responses to validation questions can result in loss of grades and course fee.

Can I track student progress?

Yes. As an administrator, you have access to our Student Management System (SMS). You can view student enrollment and completion dates, test scores, and login times. You can also run reports and send email reminders to complete the course. Administrators DO NOT have access to confidential survey responses (including eCHECKUP TO GO responses) from individual students.
